Beautiful apartment, spacious, bright and tastefully decorated. Ideal for a photo shoot. Very warm welcome from the owner, who was available all day to answer our questions.
A living hell. For a meeting or photo shoot, the location is perfect. For a shoot requiring equipment, I strongly advise against it. The conditions were set from the start, it was a short film, she was very accommodating and wanted to "encourage small projects". In a very factual way: - The apartment is on the second floor, close to a very noisy avenue, with buses and motorcycles, which complicates the sound recording. - After 2 location scouts, the owner asked to pay 500€ via the office riders website. - Impossible to light through the windows because the installation of fixing systems on the facade was not voted in ag of copro and the windows give on the carpark of the building thus one cannot put foot there. We had to uninstall everything and lost 3 hours of prep time because we hadn't been warned in advance. - A neighbor on the 5th floor wants the landlady to stop filming, which stresses her out, so she refuses all equipment stored on the landing of the apartment, even when it's time to unload the equipment. The landlady owns a studio across the street, and she spied on us and harassed us about it during the shoot. - The landlady doesn't know how to deal with disagreements. I've always been open and friendly with her, but she lost her patience, stopped talking to me and dumped her problems on the assistant directors. - The landlady threatened to take the apartment away from us on the day of the shoot because equipment was being stored on the landing. - The landlady changed her mind a month before the shoot about how long equipment could be stored in her apartment, which meant we lost two hours of shooting time and incurred parking and petrol costs. - No equipment was to be stored in 3 of the 4 bedrooms at night, as these were her children's bedrooms. We therefore had to take 20 minutes every evening to reorganize everything, as she went home to sleep at night. We remained courteous and accommodating throughout, despite the fact that we were dealing with an intransigent and unpleasant person who ultimately refused to be flexible. There was no entry inventory of fixtures and the exit inventory of fixtures was done without us. The owner is a real estate agent. From the moment her apartment was booked and paid for, she completely changed her behavior. All this added up to a lot of stress during the shoot, and it was important to me that the project should retain a human and caring dimension. I was very disappointed. The owner runs a business and that's where it ends.
